Overview

The old website was dated and off-brand. We rebuilt the visual language from zero. The films and photos are taste-led, studio-crafted, and anchored in Ōtautahi Christchurch, New Zealand. Landscape B-roll threads through the banner film to speak to tourists and international clients without looking like stock.

Goal
Refreshed visuals that convert

Replace dated assets with a taste-driven visual system that reflects the craft, anchors the brand in New Zealand, and turns website visits into enquiries.

Challenge
Multi-studio, single brand story content

Three studios across Christchurch, Hanmer Springs and Queenstown. We needed visuals that felt specific and premium without tying the brand to one location. New Zealand identity over studio-by-studio identity.

Solution
NZ-wide aesthetic that appeals to tourists

Intercut studio craft with South Island landscapes to create a unified, place-based aesthetic. Delivered three calibrated edit styles to flex across pages and campaigns while keeping brand cohesion. All assets cleared and owned.

Outcome
Attention and enquiries up

Post-launch performance as of September 2025: +6,500% engagement time on site, +12.5% organic traffic, and +250% tattoo enquiries through the website. The assets now drive the homepage, About page, services pages, and paid and organic channels.
